OPNsense has just released 24.7 Thriving Tiger

This is one of the biggest overall updates in a long time. This version runs on FreeBSD 14.1 and Python 3.11. It also includes a new dashboard, a WireGuard QR code generator, and a bunch of other neat features.

A few things to watch out for: with the dashboard change, some old widgets might be broken. At the time of writing this, there have been two hotfixes already released: 24.7_5 and 24.7_9.

OPNsense is one of my favorite open-source firewalls and has many features such as:

• Really nice Dashboard
• Integrated SSL Blacklist (SSLBL), a project maintained by abuse.ch
